Dear Fellow Members,

The last few years of the Chamber has seen a team of community minded people put in a lot of effort and long hours to have a viable Chamber brought before the Pine Rivers people.

We have been rewarded in more than one aspect with the “Women in Leadership” Luncheon as mentioned last month and by the interest shown in our Breakfast Forums held at The Coffee Club, Gympie Road Strathpine. July forum was a buzz even before our starting time of 7:30am. Networking was soon in progress and each member was given the opportunity to share about their business.

As president it was great to hear of the diversity of each business and know that we are providing a platform for more exposure for you.

We held a marathon three hour meeting with the full committee about 2 weeks ago to discuss our website, the operation of it, forward planning for events, membership etc, so things are underway for the rest of the year.

Our next event is our Members Breakfast Forum on 14th August. This event is free to members so come along and enjoy a light breakfast and coffee as well as networking. Counciller Mick Gillam will speak to us about what is happening around Pine Rivers from his perspective.

September will see us heading to North Lakes again for a Networking night at The Pathways Community Centre on the 10th September 08. The speaker is ‘Ted Fitzgerald’ from Property Works International. The night will commence at 5:30pm. Cost $22 Members, $27 Non- Members. Food and drinks will be served.
